Bealtaine Pilgrimage 2027
In ancient times, Bealtaine celebrated the end of the dark half of the year and the coming of the light half. It is the midpoint between the Spring Equinox and the Summer Solstice.
The name derives from the old Irish phrase « Bel Taine » meaning « bright fire ». Together, we will cross the threshold of Equinox and Solstice, moving into the sun’s power. Fire at Bealtaine represents the ritual of sacrifice and renewal.

This is the Feast of the Autumn Equinox. The Light of the Sun in the Wheel of the Year stands in the West, in the Place of balance between the Light and the Darkness. This is a time of the Great Tides. This is the Gateway of the Year.
