Walking the land in a sacred way
Walking with the Ancestors
In ancient times, Bealtaine celebrated the end of the dark half of the year and the coming of the light half. It is the midpoint between the Spring Equinox and the Summer Solstice.
The name derives from the old Irish phrase « Bel Taine » meaning
« bright fire ». Together, we will cross the threshold of Equinox and Solstice, moving into the sun’s power. Fire at Bealtaine represents the ritual of sacrifice and renewal.

Pilgrimage
Bealtaine is the moment when we step back into the light.
After the long inward journey of winter, something begins to open again.
The days grow longer, the land becomes green, and we naturally feel the call to go outside, to move, meet, explore and reconnect with life.
This is what our seven-day Bealtaine Pilgrimage in Brittany is about.
We will spend seven days together in the heart of the land, walking its ancient paths, connecting with nature, sharing around the fire, and exploring the Celtic spirit of this special time of year.
Bealtaine marks the beginning of the light half of the year — a beautiful threshold between the quiet months behind us and the fullness of summer ahead.

The end of the world
A land of mysteries and legends
For millennia, Brittany has remained a land of mysteries and legends where monks, priests and priestesses came to be initiated and, in one way or another, pass into the other world.
The pilgrimage to Bealtaine is intimately linked to Druidic mysteries. We gather at the same time as the initiates, on the ancient land of Oestriminis, “the end of the world”, bordered by the same sea — and our practices and rituals are inspired by the rites supervised by our priests and priestesses.

SEVEN DAYS
We spend 7 day in Traditional Breton houses
For our Bealtaine journey, we will stay in beautiful traditional Breton houses, surrounded by the forests, fields and quiet landscapes of Brittany.
Simple, authentic and deeply connected to the land, these old stone houses offer a warm and peaceful place to come together at the end of each day.
There is something special about staying in a home that belongs to the landscape — stone walls, natural materials, wooden beams, open fires and the feeling of a place that has been lived in for generations.
This will be our base for seven days of walking, gathering, sharing meals, making fire and exploring the ancient spirit of Brittany.
A simple place to slow down, reconnect with nature and enjoy being together.

THE WILD AND TIMELESS
Breton Landscapes

Brittany has a wild, timeless beauty. Along the coast, you’ll find long stretches of sandy beaches, hidden coves and quiet paths where the land meets the sea. Even in summer, there are still places where you can walk for a while and feel completely alone with the landscape.
Beyond the coast, Brittany opens into forests, fields, old stone villages and windswept hills. The landscape feels ancient and elemental — shaped by the Atlantic, the weather and generations of people who have lived close to the land.It is a place where you can slow down. Where you can walk without needing to arrive anywhere Where the wind clears your head and the sea gives you space to breathe.
Away from the busy tourist routes, there is still a sense of something untouched here — a quieter Brittany, full of old paths, hidden places and stories held in the landscape. A place that invites you to stay a little longer, breathe a little deeper, and simply be.

" Heaven and Earth are only three feet apart, but in the thin places that distance is even smaller "
