The breath of the spirit

Autumn Equinox

Scrool

This is the Feast of the Autumn Equinox. The Light of the Sun in the Wheel of the Year stands in the West, in the Place of balance between the Light and the Darkness. This is a time of the Great Tides. This is the Gateway of the Year.

Walking with the Ancestors

16th to 22th september 2027 - Brittany

On the equinox day and night are in equilibrium. Dark and light, masculine and feminine, inner and outer, are all in balance before the night takes over... bringing darkness and the death of winter with it. All things must die before they can be reborn, it is for this reason that all spiritual ascent requires descent first.

We are a reflection of the universe that surrounds us, what takes place outside of us, also takes place within us. All those who long for the light must first face the darkness within themselves. It is on the autumnal equinox, that this stage of inner preparation for enlightenment can begin. In order to make way for the return of the sun on the winter solstice, and it’s rebirth on the spring vernal equinox.

Autumn Equinox
Pilgrimage

The Autumnal Equinox, on September 21st or thereabouts, is called Alban Elfed or Light of the Water in the Druid tradition. It represents the second of the harvest festivals – this time marking the end of harvest-time, just as Lughnasadh marked its beginning.

Again day and night are equally balanced as they were at the time of the Spring Equinox, but soon the nights will grow longer than the days and Winter will be with us. In the ceremony we give thanks for the fruits of the earth and for the goodness of the Mother Goddess.

A living memory

Ancient rhythms, modern weaving

By joining this sacred journey, you’ll not only explore the historical sites but also awaken a sense of spiritual connection to the Celtic past and how to weave the ancient and modern technologies together, tapping into energies that have long been associated with healing, wisdom, and transformation.

The tour is designed to allow you to reflect, meditate, and align with the ancient rhythms of the land, offering a deep sense of peace and rejuvenation.

The end of the world

A land of mysteries and legends

For millennia, Brittany has remained a land of mysteries and legends where monks, priests and priestesses came to be initiated and, in one way or another, pass into the other world.

The pilgrimage to Bealtaine is intimately linked to Druidic mysteries. We gather at the same time as the initiates, on the ancient land of Oestriminis, “the end of the world”, bordered by the same sea — and our practices and rituals are inspired by the rites supervised by our priests and priestesses.

SEVEN DAYS

We spend 7 day in Traditional Breton houses

For our Bealtaine journey, we will stay in beautiful traditional Breton houses, surrounded by the forests, fields and quiet landscapes of Brittany.

Simple, authentic and deeply connected to the land, these old stone houses offer a warm and peaceful place to come together at the end of each day.

There is something special about staying in a home that belongs to the landscape — stone walls, natural materials, wooden beams, open fires and the feeling of a place that has been lived in for generations.

This will be our base for seven days of walking, gathering, sharing meals, making fire and exploring the ancient spirit of Brittany.

A simple place to slow down, reconnect with nature and enjoy being together.

Brittany has a wild, timeless beauty. Along the coast, you’ll find long stretches of sandy beaches, hidden coves and quiet paths where the land meets the sea. Even in summer, there are still places where you can walk for a while and feel completely alone with the landscape.

Beyond the coast, Brittany opens into forests, fields, old stone villages and windswept hills. The landscape feels ancient and elemental — shaped by the Atlantic, the weather and generations of people who have lived close to the land.It is a place where you can slow down. Where you can walk without needing to arrive anywhere Where the wind clears your head and the sea gives you space to breathe.

Away from the busy tourist routes, there is still a sense of something untouched here — a quieter Brittany, full of old paths, hidden places and stories held in the landscape. A place that invites you to stay a little longer, breathe a little deeper, and simply be.
